This is the second consecutive year that the bureau has organised a conclave, with The Times of India acting as an official media partner. The SHIELD conclave follows a six-week cyber campaign led by the TGCSB in collaboration with the police in districts and commissionerates.Apart from organising discussions on various issues related to curbing cybercrime, 16 companies will set up stalls during the conclave to exhibit their hardware and software products, including AI space networking, satellite data centres, AI for counter-terrorism, AI camera surveillance for traffic and dark web monitoring.“The conclave will focus on discussions around cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and strategies to effectively combat cybercrime. Police officials from 20 states across the country, along with IT experts, industry representatives, non-governmental organisations and students, will participate,” said TGCSB director Shikha Goel.According to officials from the TGCSB, the number of cybercrime cases registered in Telangana has fallen by 15% in 2025. In 2024, 23,748 cases were reported, compared to 20,069 in 2025. The reported financial loss during this period also decreased from Rs 1,909 crore to Rs 1,377 crore. Over the past two years, Rs 342 crore has been refunded to cybercrime victims in Telangana.The bureau stated that the majority of victims are falling prey to investment fraud, part-time job fraud, and OTP fraud, and pointed out that losses suffered by victims in these scams are also high.
