Ahmedabad: Gujarat’s State Examination Board will start the online application process for Chief Minister’s Gyan Sadhana scholarship exam from Thursday. Eligible students can submit their applications online through their respective schools until Feb 16.Under the scheme, around 25,000 meritorious students from across Gujarat will be selected for financial assistance. The scholarship is aimed at supporting students from economically weaker backgrounds to continue their education after Class 8. The scholarship examination will be conducted on April 5 to ensure maximum participation, officials said. Students studying in private schools from Classes 9 to 12 can receive scholarships totalling nearly Rs 94,000 over four years.In addition, based on the merit list for the academic year 2026–27, admissions to Class 9 in Adarsh Residential Schools run by the Tribal Development Department will be granted. Students from private schools appearing for the examination will also be eligible for admission to 65 vacant seats in Raksha Shakti School on the basis of merit.Students who studied from Classes 1 to 8 in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act and secure admission to self-financed schools after clearing the examination will be eligible for an annual scholarship of Rs 22,000 for Classes 9 and 10 and Rs 25,000 per year for Classes 11 and 12.Similarly, students who studied from Classes 1 to 8 in govt or granted schools and continue their education in govt or granted schools after passing the exam will receive Rs 5,000 per year for Classes 9 and 10 and Rs 7,000 per year for Classes 11 and 12.
