Kendrapada: Judicial magistrate first class, Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur district has sentenced a man to three years in prison for attempt to murder in 2025. The judicial magistrate found Asit Ranjan Biswal guilty of attacking Rajesh Behera with a sharp weapon at Biritola village, causing serious injuries. The attack was triggered by previous enmity. Juodge Paras Padhi convicted Biswal under section 109 of BNS for attempted murder that occurred on Aug 10, 2025. “After proper investigation, police arrested the accused. The court convicted him, finding him guilty after examining seven witnesses,” said Sasmiota Nayak, public prosecutor of the court.
