Congress govt betrayed unemployed youth, says KTR

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused the Congress govt of halting recruitment after promising to fill two lakh jobs in the first year after coming to power. In a statement on Tuesday, KTR said chief minister A Revanth Reddy has failed to fulfil his promise and asserted that unemployed youth would not forgive the Congress.“The CM, who posed for photos after issuing appointment letters for 65,000 jobs that were filled during the previous BRS regime, has now completely halted recruitment,” he alleged. Revanth’s baseless accusations against the BRS govt, which already filled over 1.6 lakh posts, were now clear to everyone, he said. “Not only the unemployed, but also their parents were outraged at the govt’s inability to issue notifications for even 10,000 new jobs,” KTR said.Even if the chief minister apologised and begged for forgiveness for deceiving unemployed youth, there would be no forgiveness, KTR stated, adding that they would pursue the Congress govt for its betrayal of the unemployed and students. The voices that misled with false promises had fallen silent over the past two years, but the sin committed would not go unpunished, he said, stressing the responsibility to stand by the unemployed and youth. He further alleged that the Revanth Reddy-led govt has deceived not only the unemployed but all sections of the state. “The Congress had already deprived 70 lakh farmers of their livelihood by withholding the Rythu Bharosa amount. They betrayed the farmers who lived with dignity during KCR’s rule by plunging them into debt,” he said. Despite promising to provide Rs 2,500 to every woman, not a single woman received the amount even after two years of Congress coming to power, leaving them seething with anger, he added.
