2-day knowledge exchange meet held in Mizoram

Aizawl: Mizoram CM Lalduhoma on Tuesday inaugurated the two-day Knowledge Exchange Health Conclave at Falkland Park in Aizawl, organised under the Mizoram Health Systems Strengthening Project (MHSSP) of the health & family welfare department.In his inaugural address, Lalduhoma said the state considers the health of its people a fundamental pillar of overall development and therefore accords the highest priority to the sector. He highlighted the Mizoram Universal Health Care Scheme (MUHCS), describing it as one of the best in the country, offering cashless treatment through empanelled hospitals.

The CM said the govt has significantly upgraded healthcare infrastructure across Mizoram by strengthening district hospitals, community health centres (CHCs), and primary health centres (PHCs). Advanced medical equipment has been procured and several initiatives undertaken to improve service delivery, many of which were made possible through MHSSP.He expressed gratitude to the World Bank and the Centre for their continued support.Lalduhoma said the conclave would serve as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange with health experts from across India, fostering improved strategies, deeper understanding, and stronger collaboration. On the occasion, he also released a Coffee Table Book and thanked MHSSP for organising the event.
