B-forms were issued, with Feb 3 being the last date for submission. Winnability factorRevanth has instructed screening committees not to finalise candidates for mayor, deputy mayor and chairperson posts at this stage, stating that factors such as social justice, party loyalty, integrity, discipline and winnability must be carefully assessed before taking a decision. Local candidates and DCC presidents have been allowed to arrive at understandings with like-minded parties based on local conditions. However, no official pre-poll alliances have been announced at the state level by the Congress, BRS or BJP. Mahesh Goud appealed to party members to withdraw from the race in favour of candidates officially issued B-forms by the party leadership.
