Ahmedabad: Contrary to the standing committee’s earlier announcement that saplings from the city flower show would not be sold, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to sell the plants used in the event. On Monday, officials of the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd announced that saplings would be available at four AMC-run nurseries — Rasala (Law Garden), Saurabh (Navrangpura), Vishwakarma (Chandkheda), and Science City (Sola). Prices range from Rs 10 to Rs 235, with discounts on bulk purchases. The move aims to recover losses from the Ahmedabad International Flower Show, which saw lower footfall due to high ticket prices and incurred a Rs 5.33 crore deficit.
