“Ahead of the hearing, Serina became extremely anxious as she felt she could not properly answer some of the questions asked by officials. While standing in the queue, she kept saying she would be sent to jail and was sweating profusely. Despite our attempts to reassure her, she suddenly collapsed after suffering a heart attack,” said a relative.Later in the day, senior TMC netas visited Serina’s family. “One more life was lost due to harassment in the name of SIR hearings. Many people are living in fear, while some are battling for their lives in hospitals. These unethical practices must be stopped immediately,” a neta said.
