Chandigarh: Newly elected mayor Saurabh Joshi held a janata darbar at the MC office Monday to hear public grievances. Senior MC officials, including municipal commissioner Amit Kumar, attended the session and responded to issues raised by residents. The interaction took place in the MC parking area.Residents from various sectors, along with representatives of market associations, labour unions, street vendors, shopkeepers, and other citizen groups, participated in the darbar. The mayor issued time-bound directions to the departments concerned on matters highlighted by the attendees.Joshi said the interaction was aimed at improving communication between citizens and the administration. He asked all departments to submit action taken reports within the stipulated timelines.The MC stated that it would continue holding such darbars. tnn
