Varanasi: Atraulia police arrested a 20-year-old man accused of kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old girl, while Kaptanganj police arrested a 51-year-old man for kidnapping and raping a minor girl.According to Azamgarh SP Anil Kumar, Atrauliya police succeeded in nabbing Shivam Pandey (20) of Ambedkar Nagar district from Sikandarpur turning on Monday. The police searched for him after the father of a girl filed a complaint against Shivam for luring and eloping with the minor. After rescuing the girl, the police sent her for a medical examination. Based on the examination report and evidence, police registered case against relevant sections of BNS and also Section 3/4 of Pocso Act.In another case lodged on Sunday on charges of intimidating and raping a minor, Kaptanganj police arrested accused Jalandhar alias Jalandhar (51), of Kharidiha.
