Patna: Army Public School, Danapur Cantt, came alive with energy and patriotic fervour as it celebrated its Annual Sports Day under the theme “Bharat Hai Hum”. The event highlighted the students’ athletic abilities, team spirit and deep sense of national pride, transforming the school grounds into an arena of excitement and unity.The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Brigadier Rakesh Kumar Borah, commandant of the Bihar Regimental Centre and chairman of the school, who presided over the occasion as chief guest. Brigadier Amit Bedi, Deputy GOC, J & B Sub Area, graced the event as the guest of honour, adding further distinction to the proceedings.
The programme commenced with a ceremonial march past, followed by the oath-taking and a dynamic torch relay. Students enthralled the audience with a series of track and field events, energetic drills, aerobics performances, a Pipe Band display, Lazium routines, and exciting Inter House mixed events. Principal Dharmsheela Pandey presented the annual report, reflecting on the school’s consistent achievements and its commitment to holistic student development, balancing academics, sports, and character building.Madhubani House emerged triumphant, claiming the Best House Trophy for overall excellence in sports. In his motivational address, Brigadier Borah lauded the students for their spirited and disciplined performances. He urged them to embrace the timeless values of sportsmanship, perseverance, and responsible citizenship, sharing three powerful life lessons: “Win with humility, lose with grace and always play with integrity.”Shivam Convent School: Shivam Convent School hosted its annual function at S K Memorial Hall, celebrating its legacy of quality education. Bihar legislative assembly Speaker Prem Kumar graced the occasion as chief guest and commended principal Shankar Kumar Sinha for his exemplary leadership in shaping young minds.Among the esteemed guests were environment and forest minister Pramod Chandravanshi, former Union minister Sanjay Paswan, and retired IAS officer Neelam Chaudhary. Principal Sinha presented the annual report, highlighting outstanding academic results, thriving co-curricular pursuits, and continuous institutional growth.
