Panchkula: The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Panchkula, will start a Panchakarma technician course this year as part of its efforts to strengthen and expand Ayurvedic healthcare services.The institute has issued a notification announcing the one-year certificate course. The registration fee has been fixed at Rs 500 to encourage wider participation and enable more youth to take up technical roles in the Ayurveda sector. Officials said the course aims to provide structured training in Panchakarma therapy, enabling trainees to work in Ayurvedic hospitals, Panchakarma centres and wellness institutions. Trained technicians, they added, would help enhance the quality and effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatments.
The course is expected to benefit youth interested in building careers in the healthcare sector, offering a formal entry point into Ayurvedic clinical support services. Interested candidates can apply through the institute’s official website. Dr Anurag Kushal, assistant professor, department of Panchakarma, said patients at the institute were availing Panchakarma procedures alongside modern medical facilities. TNN
