Kanpur: A 45-year-old woman who left home with her 18-year-old neighbour from Sadh police station area was located by police on Saturday, but she refused to return to her husband and children.The mother of three—including a son, 18— from a village in Sadh police station area of Bhitargaon in Ghatampur, had an affair with an 18-year-old boy in the neighbourhood and on Jan 26, she eloped with him. Based on her husband’s complaint, police registered a missing person report and searched for both.On Saturday, police found the woman and the youth in Bakewar area of Etawah and brought them to the police station. Her husband reached the police station with their children pleaded repeatedly to her to return home. Her 18-year-old elder son tried to convince her too, but she did not agree.Station in charge Avanish Kumar Singh said, “Despite counselling, the woman remained adamant.” He said that after documentation, she left with the youth. Police said that the woman was an adult and had decided to go with the youth by her free will. TNN
