Revanth urges Indian students at Harvard to work for India’s growth

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy, on the final day of his engagements at the Harvard Business School, in the US, interacted with several delegations and groups of students and alumni. These included participants from various schools of Harvard University, as well as students and alumni from other institutions such as MIT and Columbia University.The CM shared his optimistic vision for Telangana Rising 2047, his views on India’s future — particularly with Telangana and Hyderabad leading the way and setting an example — and exhorted students to stay connected by becoming brand ambassadors of Telangana Rising and be partners in the growth story of India.

The chief minister’s office (CMO) said that many students promised to contribute their best to enhancing Telangana’s developmental sheen.Students and alumni spoke to the CM on a range of issues, including leadership and success, economic growth and development models, sustainability and environmental concerns, with a focus on the welfare of farmers, women and youth, among others.Revanth shared his views, challenges and the focal points of his vision for Telangana Rising 2047, and the opportunities it creates for all stakeholders and their empowerment linkages.When a group of students asked him to teach them leadership and vision, the CM remarked that it was best to let the illustrious teachers and professors of Harvard do the teaching. He added that he would not like to be an impostor professor and would instead prefer engaging in conversations that involve sharing and learning.Meanwhile, the Kennedy School of Harvard has invited the CM to serve as a keynote speaker at the varsity’s first AI Policy Symposium. In a statement, the CMO said the organisers had invited the Telangana CM to the event, making him the only Indian leader asked to speak. He has also been requested to join Kennedy School Dean Jeremy Weinstein in inaugurating the symposium, scheduled to be held in March.Revanth said he would consider delivering the keynote address virtually from Hyderabad and may also participate in a panel discussion with global leaders and technology thinkers on AI infrastructure. The invitation was extended in person by Ruxanda Renita and other organisers during their interaction with the CM on campusThe CM completed his executive education programme at the Kennedy School of Harvard University and awarded the programme completion certificate.CM Revanth is expected to return to the city late on Sunday or in the early hours of Monday.
