Udaipur: A Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) team on Thursday conducted raids at the firms of Dinesh Khodaniya at his office in the Dabok area on the Udaipur–Chittorgarh highway. Khodaniya is a member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and a former Congress district president of Dungarpur.Responding to the action, Khodaniya alleged that central agencies have been repeatedly targeting his family over the past two years despite there being no irregularities in their business operations. He claimed his family’s work has always remained “clean and transparent” and hinted at possible political pressure behind the repeated raids.

“For the past two years, sometimes there are ED raids, sometimes surveys, and now this GST action has started. Our work is clean and transparent, yet we are being harassed repeatedly. There is outrage among the people and the party because of this,” Khodaniya said. He further alleged that the pressure intensified after his son recently started a business. “My son has just begun his work, and I feel there is political pressure behind this. But in every case our family has come out clean, and this time too the truth will prevail,” he said. Khodaniya’s son, Aadish Khodaniya, currently operates the business group. In Dec 2024, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had raided their residence and office in Sagwara in Dungarpur district. Earlier, on Oct 13, 2023, the ED also raided Khodaniya’s Sagwara office when the Congress govt was in power, following allegations linking him to a paper leak case.
