Kanpur: A 70-year-old farmer died after being attacked by a bull while guarding his wheat crop in Phaphund police station area of Auraiya district on Friday evening.The incident took place when Jai Narayan Pal, a resident of Nagla Pathak village, went to his field along with his younger brother, Sovaran Singh Pal, to protect their standing wheat crop. According to police, a bull entered the field and began damaging the crop. When Jai Narayan tried to chase the animal away, it attacked him, goring him with its horns and leaving him critically injured.
Hearing his cries, Sovaran Singh rushed to the spot and managed to drive the bull away. Family members were informed immediately, following which Jai Narayan was rushed to Dibiyapur CHC . He was later referred to the Medical College, where doctors declared him brought dead. tnnThe deceased is survived by two sons, Sarvesh Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, and a married daughter, Rani. SHO Rajeev Kumar Singh said the body has been sent for postmortem and further legal formalities are being completed.
