Gorakhpur: The two-day international conference on Communication, Electronics and Digital Technologies (NICEDT–2026), organised under the aegis of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Gorakhpur, concluded on Friday evening. Attending thhe event as chief guest, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDUGU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Poonam Tandon said that a knowledge-driven economy will play a decisive role in achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat. India must stay ahead of time by continuously promoting adaptive technologies, innovation and sustained research.Speaking on the occasion, NIELIT director general MM Tripathi said the institute is consistently working on the “project to product” approach to transform research outputs into industry- and society-ready products, while developing skilled, future-oriented manpower.The conference featured technical sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions and workshops on Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, semiconductors, advanced computing, digital healthcare, embedded systems and future communication technologies. More than 500 participants, including academicians, scientists, industry experts, policymakers, researchers and students from India and abroad, took part in the event.
