Kolkata: Army Public School Barrackpore celebrated its annual sports day, themed ‘Inclusive India – We are the Champs’, for classes 9-12 on Dec 26.Renowned archer and Arjuna Awardee Dola Banerjee was the chief guest at the event.Brigadier Ashish Hooda, SM, chairman, APS Barrackpore, presented a token of honour to the chief guest. The celebration commenced with a welcome song by the school choir, followed by the hoisting of the ceremonial flag. Senior secondary coordinator Mahua Hazra highlighted the school’s notable achievements in her speech.The arena came alive with excitement as students competed in various events, showcasing teamwork and competitive spirit. The prize distribution ceremony celebrated the outstanding performances of the students. Banerjee delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the role of sports in shaping character and leadership .
