Ahmedabad: NIFT Gandhinagar on Friday organised Research Confluence 2026 on the theme, “Tradition, Innovation, and Rising India.” The institute also organised Kala Vaarta and Weave 2026, the alumni meet.Prof Sameer Sood, director of NIFT-G, focused on the recent FTA with the European Union and said that the textile sector will be an important driver of growth.A total of 42 research papers were presented at the event on themes such as cross-cultural management, social responsibility, circular design, and sustainable supply chains, among others.Major artisans from Gujarat and other states participated in the Kala Vaarta. The institute’s alumni participated in the alumni meet and took part in events on the campus in Gandhinagar.
