The foundation stone for HORC was laid in Oct 2022. The 126km railway line will connect Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda. It will also be linked with the dedicated freight corridor at Parithala and New Tauru, along with Indian Railways stations in Patli, Sultanpur, Asaudha and Harsana Kalan.Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (HRIDC) divided the 126-km-long route into two parts for completing the construction works. Part A is a 30km stretch from Dhulawat in Palwal to Patli in Gurgaon district. Part B is a 96km route between Patli and Palwal. The 10km stretch of the 30km route — between Manesar and Patli — was made operational in 2025. This stretch provides connectivity to the Maruti plant in Manesar. Deputy commissioner Ajay Kumar, who held a joint review meeting with HSIIDC, HRIDC, PWD and district revenue officials on Monday, said, “We directed that the process be expedited for structures whose awards are not declared yet. Reports of structures whose valuation is completed by PWD should be submitted soon so that awards can be issued.” He directed that compensation pending for any beneficiaries, due to any reason, should be settled on a priority basis at a fast pace, so that “project work is not hindered at any level”.“HORC is an important infrastructure project, which will give new direction to industrial development and transportation in the region,” said the DC. He directed officials to ensure time-bound resolution of all pending issues with mutual coordination.
