Bengaluru teacher booked for branding Class IV student over homework

BENGALURU: A private school teacher in Bengaluru’s Lakshmidevinagar has been booked for allegedly branding a Class IV student who failed to complete his homework and threatening him not to inform his parents, officials said on Friday.The incident occurred on 10 January. The teacher has been identified as Aglil.The boy’s mother lodged a complaint with the Nandini Layout police on Thursday.Police have registered a case against the teacher under the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act.
