The cancellation was based on govt clarifications issued on May 6, 2024, and Feb 27, 2025, which relied on a law department opinion dated Feb 27, 2024.Setting aside the impugned clarifications, Justice Satapathy ruled that “any action taken based on such clarifications issued on May 6, 2024, and Feb 27, 2025, are also not sustainable in the eye of law and stand quashed”.
