Patna: Patna municipal commissioner (PMC) Yashpal Meena on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of the Garbage Transfer Station (GTS) in the Patliputra zone. He reviewed progress and quality standards, and directed engineers to complete the work within the deadline. The project includes a shed, toilets, drainage facilities and a guard room. The station will be equipped with three compactor units, hook loaders, six capsule containers and a DG set to ensure uninterrupted operations. A weighbridge will also be installed for accurate waste measurement. The GTS is aimed at streamlining waste disposal through improved technology and logistics management in the zone.
