King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to follow Prince William’s footsteps as the couple venture off to Essex next week to share their support for pubs.
Their Majesties will meet influential figures of the local community before greeting members of the public along Dedham High Street.
The couple will then join a tea party at the Essex Rose Teahouse following their journey to The Sun Inn, Dedham.
The 15th-century inn has been consistently named as one of the best pubs in the country.

Charles and Camilla will be greeted by Piers Baker, who has owned the establishment independently for 25 years.
Inside the pub, the pair will meet “local heroes” and businesses that support the local community of 2,000 people.
The “local heroes” and businesses include a local domestic abuse charity, Next Chapter.
Camilla has long been a campaigner for victims of domestic abuse, holding the patronage of British charity SafeLives.

Representatives of the Dedham Vale Vineyard will also be in attendance, which is set on forty acres of vines, woods and pastures on the edge of Dedham Vale.
Before leaving the pub, the King and Queen will have the opportunity to meet bar staff and pull a pint.
The couple will then greet individuals of the local community and pupils from a nearby school.
At the Essex Rose Teahouse, the couple will speak to the staff and join a tea party.

The Teahouse dates back to the 16th century, being a pillar of the community for some 500 years.
Charles and Camilla’s scheduled visit to the Essex pub follows Prince William’s vocal endorsement for the industry during a challenging time.
The sector currently faces significant pressures, with Chancellor Rachel Reeves announcing that pubs will receive 15 per cent relief on their business rates from April.
Shadow Chancellor Sir Mel Stride criticised the measure in the Commons as a “partial U-turn” that was “far too little and far too late”.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams described the impact of the heir to the throne publicly championing British pubs as “pivotal”.
He told the Mail the phenomenon has helped “support local pubs and enhance the spirit of community” while “boosting sales at a crucial time for these invaluable establishments”.
The future king’s appearance alongside Schitt’s Creek actor Eugene Levy at Windsor’s Two Brewers pub in October has generated what observers are calling “The William Effect”.
A plaque now commemorates the spot where William and Levy sat, recording their visit on February 4, 2025, for the filming of Apple TV’s The Reluctant Traveller.
