Several Delhi schools receive bomb threat emails; security on high alert

NEW DELHI: Several schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Thursday, triggering panic and heightened security measures across the city.According to sources, the threatening email was sent around 1.42 am, claiming that blasts would take place at three to four schools, including institutions located in Chandigarh. The message caused immediate concern among school authorities.As soon as the school administrations became aware of the threat, they promptly alerted the police and other security agencies. Following this, extensive search operations were launched on the school premises as a precautionary measure.Teams from the K9 squad, along with bomb detection and disposal units, were deployed to thoroughly inspect the campuses. Security personnel conducted systematic checks to ensure the safety of students, staff, and school property.Among the schools that reportedly received the threatening emails were DPS, Modern School, and Sanskriti School. Cops closely monitoring the situation while investigations are underway to trace the source of the email.The incident comes just a day after the Dwarka court received a similar bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax.
