Jaipur: Jaipur Development Commissioner (JDC) Siddharth Mahajan Wednesday inspected the Civil Lines Railway Overbridge (ROB) and ordered officials to remove “practical and legal obstacles” to ensure timely completion of key infrastructure works.Officials told Mahajan that land acquisition is required to build the service road towards Civil Lines, but the process is facing legal complications. Mahajan directed officers to compile all relevant facts, records and documents related to cases pending in court and seek expert legal opinion from the advocate general. He also asked officials to ensure strong and effective representation for the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) in the ongoing litigation so outcomes align with public interest and support the authority’s position. Mahajan said delays caused by unresolved legal matters should be minimised through coordinated legal and administrative action. After the ROB inspection, Mahajan visited Sahakar Marg to assess traffic conditions. He noted heavy congestion caused by the closure of the railway crossing at Imli Phatak whenever trains pass, leading to bottlenecks and long waiting times.Mahajan also directed director of engineering (I) to consult technical experts and prepare a detailed plan based on their recommendations to reduce traffic congestion.
