Lucknow: Senior bureaucrat Anamika Singh was granted VRS, following her request to the govt in Dec 2025. Singh last held the post of commissioner, food and civil supplies since Sept 2025, and was reportedly denied permission for central deputation. Officially, she sought voluntary retirement due to “personal reasons”.The 2004 batch officer began her career as joint magistrate of Unnao in 2006. She was on deputation to Delhi from 2013 to 2021, and first served in the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
From 2018 to 2021, she was posted as Director in the Niti Aayog. Since her return to UP in July 2021, she was stationed in Lucknow.
