On Thursday, Patliputra University will celebrate a milestone with its fifth convocation at the prestigious Sri Krishna Memorial Hall, kicking off at 10 am. The esteemed Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will be at the helm of the ceremony. In a remarkable achievement, 22 of the 31 gold medalists are distinguished women, and a striking 49 out of the 71 Ph.D.

Patna: Patliputra University ( PPU ) will organise its fifth convocation ceremony at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall here on Thursday. The ceremony will commence at 10 am. Governor-cum-chancellor Arif Mohammed Khan will preside over the ceremony.PPU VC Upendra Prasad Singh said on Wednesday that out of the total 31 toppers from various disciplines who will be awarded gold medals, 22 are girls. “71 research scholars who completed their Ph.D degrees by Dec 31 last year will be awarded doctoral degrees during the convocation. Among these, 49 are women,” he said.In addition, degrees will be formally declared for 8,994 postgraduate students of the academic session 2023–25 and 90,139 undergraduate students of the academic session 2022–25, VC said.He further added that 183 colleges are currently functioning successfully under the PPU jurisdiction.
