Three-day Virat Kisan Mela inaugurated

Raebareli! Under the scheme of strengthening agricultural information system, the Agro Climatic Zone level Virat Kisan Mela was organized at ITI ground ,  Telephone Nagar, Raebareli. The inauguration was done by the Honorable MLA Salon Ashok Kumar by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. Deputy Agriculture Director Vinod Kumar welcomed the farmers who came to the fair and gave detailed information about all the schemes running in the department.

In which mainly the farmers were encouraged to prepare their farmer registry by visiting public convenience centers and detailed information was given to the farmers about the benefits of solar pump under PM Kusum scheme, farm machinery bank under mechanisation scheme, custom hiring and other machinery.

The Hon’ble MLA visited the stalls and in his address appealed to the farmers that they can get more produce by adopting the technical information given by the agricultural scientists in their fields. The Hon’ble MLA handed over soil health cards to 10 farmers, the key of the custom hiring center to one farmer and cheques of Rs. 10,000 to two women’s groups .   Agricultural scientist Dr. RK Kanaujia gave information to the farmers from sowing of wheat to harvesting and gave detailed information related to control of weeds in wheat.

Dr Deepak Mishra, scientist at the Agricultural Science Centre, Dariyapur, gave detailed information about the use of sulphur in pulse and oilseed crops and the deficiency of zinc in the soil of the district, due to which the leaves of the crops start turning yellow; detailed information was given about its remedy.
         

In horticultural crops, Dr. S.B. Singh gave information about planting Ambika and Arunika mango varieties. Care should be taken while selecting the plant to get mango varieties. In the month of May, the plant can be planted by preparing a pit and adding urea. Detailed information was also given about strawberries.
         

In the end, District Agriculture Officer Akhilesh Pandey gave detailed information about the PM Certificate Scheme and called for promoting the use of nano urea and nano DAP and promoting the balanced use of fertilizers and alternative means of main fertilizers, getting the soil tested and using fertilizers on its basis. In the end, the closing of the first day’s fair was announced while thanking the officers and farmers.
