Gurgaon: A biker was threatened with a pistol after a minor altercation at Sadar Bazar on Monday. The accused, who was driving an MG Hector, pressed the firearm against the biker’s chest and cocked it twice before fleeing, cops said.A case was registered against an unidentified person. In the CCTV footage, the biker was seen exchanging heated arguments and blows with the suspect.The incident took place near the post office in the evening, according to the complaint lodged by Vinod Kumar, a resident of Mahendergarh who was going from Manesar to Sector 6 on his motorcycle. Kumar said his bike’s side mirror “lightly” touched an SUV. The car driver stopped the vehicle — bearing number HR26EP0708 — in front of Kumar’s bike, took out a pistol from the rear seat and placed it on his chest. Kumar raised an alarm and called out to passers-by for help, saying that a man was threatening him with a firearm.Kumar told police that when he began recording the incident on his mobile phone, the accused snatched it and handed it to a woman seated next to him, who switched it off. Kumar’s phone was returned later. The accused fled the spot in his car. Kumar then rushed to a nearby traffic signal and informed police. However, the accused didn’t stop the car and managed to flee even when a traffic cop was seen stopping him.Later, a case was regsitered at Gurgaon City police station under sections 127(2) (wrongfully confining any person) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and Section 25(1-B)(A) (illegal acquisition, possession, or carrying of a firearm or ammunition) of the Arms Act.
