MUMBAI: Archbishop John Rodrigues mourned the death of deputy CM Ajit Pawar in an air crash Wednesday morning.A statement issued by the press office of the archdiocese of Bombay read, “It is with sadness in our heart that we extend our deepest condolences to the govt of Maharashtra on the tragic passing of Mr Pawar. The news of his untimely death in the aircraft crash at Baramati on Jan 28 has left the whole of Maharashtra in deep grief and shock. Pawar was a dedicated public servant whose unwavering commitment to the welfare of Maharashtra and its people touched countless lives. His leadership, vision and tireless efforts in fostering development and unity will be remembered with great respect and admiration.”
