CHANDIGARH: Panic gripped the city on Wednesday after more than nine schools received bomb threat emails. The threats, sent via email, created chaos among school authorities, parents, and the police.Prioritizing student safety, all affected schools were evacuated as a precaution, and several institutions immediately declared holidays.On Wednesday morning, threatening emails were received on the official email IDs of various schools, claiming that bombs had been planted on the premises.As soon as the information came to light, school managements informed the Chandigarh police. Acting swiftly, the police alerted the Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, Quick Response Team (QRT), and local personnel.
