Ahmedabad: The talent search test (TST) for Class 9 students in Gujarat will be conducted on Wednesday. A total of 1.04 lakh students registered for the examination this year, showing a marginal increase compared to last year.According to official information, 1,04,887 Class 9 students enrolled for the TST, which was 1,495 more than last year’s registration figure of 1,03,392 students. The exam is being conducted two days earlier than last year, when it was held on Jan 30. For the current academic year, online application forms were filled through the board’s website between Nov 15 and Dec 12.To ensure the smooth conduct of the exam, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) divided the state into 34 zones and completed all necessary preparations. The TST consists of two question papers. Paper 1 includes Gujarati, English, social science and general knowledge, comprising 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. Paper 2 covers mathematics, science and mental ability, also with 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Students will be given two hours to complete each paper. The board stated that efforts will be made to declare the results at the earliest after the exam.
