Kanpur: The Mehrban Singh Ka Purwa locality in Barra witnessed electrifying scenes on Sunday as Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak’s live, on-field commentary added a special spark to a grand wrestling tournament organised in the memory of Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Yadav. Renowned wrestlers from India and abroad showcased their strength and techniques during the bouts, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd. Pathak initially watched the matches from the stage but later stepped into the arena and began doing live commentary, much to the delight of spectators and participants alike. With energetic calls such as “Hit the dhobi throw… execute the spinning wheel… give him a slam,” the deputy CM described every move, making the contests more engaging. Organisers said his spontaneous commentary boosted the morale of the wrestlers and heightened the excitement of the tournament. tnn
