Bengaluru: Sanjay Nagar Rasthe Hubba 2026 brought the residents of Sanjay Nagar and RMV 2nd Stage together on a vibrant street along Boulevard Park, buzzing with activity from Sunday afternoon.

Part of the BLR Hubba, the Rasthe Hubba was organised for the first time here and saw a colourful display of tradition and community spirit.Over 50 stalls, including food stalls selling items from chaats to probiotic drinks, lined the 3rd main road of Dollars Colony. Some of the unique stalls included those selling hand-woven dhurries (carpets) from Navalgund in northern Karnataka and clothes from upcycled fabric made by women’s groups from Chikkaballapur.

Aromatics from recycled flowers, traditional games from rural Karnataka, books and lending library, and artworks made by artists residing nearby made this edition of Rasthe Hubba truly local.

A stall to raise awareness about community animals, set up by local animal welfare groups, was also part of the line-up.The district governor of Rotary International District 3192, Elizabeth Cherian, inaugurated the event. “Tackling pollution, environmental safety, health, socio-economic development, and protecting our culture and heritage should start in neighbourhoods. When neighbourhoods are taken care of, community responsibility increases, and this has a rippling effect, ensuring global change,” she said. The stage saw dance and musical performances, including a performance by a group of 20 senior citizens over 80 years of age.

“The tree-lined street is a great location for the event. The weather is also pleasant. We had 127 performers from among the local residents. We plan to organise this every year henceforth,” Rajagopal Hegde, president of Rotary Bangalore Rajamahal Vilas, said.QUOTES with mugs:I loved the variety of stalls here.
