Vadodara: The Dahod police on Sunday seized a huge stock of beer near the Khangela check-post and arrested a man. The police said they were conducting routine vehicle checks in Dahod when they intercepted a truck driven by the accused, Goparam Chaudhary, a resident of Rajasthan.The police asked him what he was transporting in the truck, and Chaudhary said it was food items. However, when the police searched the truck, they found 9,480 beer cans in 525 boxes worth around Rs 80 lakh, hidden behind the food items in the truck.Chaudhary told the police he was to deliver the stock to a person near Golden Chowkdi on National Highway 48.
