One platformPatha Utsav, the street festival conducted by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, has become a magnet, attracting everyone regardless of their age, gender or party affiliations. This Sunday’s Patha Utsav turned into an all-inclusive hangout spot, with the BMC posting photographs of Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi, mayor Sulochana Das and others making an appearance. Even the bureaucrats showed up, including BMC commissioner Chanchal Rana.Power trip During the Krushi Odisha event at Baramunda Ground in the city, the power supply tripped thrice. Twice, the outage occurred while the emcee was speaking. Another outage happened when a dignitary was addressing the gathering. Officials at the venue panicked, and technicians rushed to the diesel generators to restore power. And this happened in the presence of energy minister KV Singh Deo, who is also the deputy CM.Big bullsAt the ongoing Matsya O Pranee Samavesh in the city, two four-legged animals are garnering maximum attention. India’s rich livestock heritage is on proud display at the event, but two star animals are clearly enjoying their moment of fame. Leading the show is Inder, a 4.5-year-old Murrah bull with a jaw-dropping price tag of nearly Rs 4 crore. With that valuation, Inder could easily give luxury cars and seaside villas a run for their money. Not far behind in the popularity race is a 5-year-old Kankrej bull, admired for its majestic, almost royal walk. Together, the duo has visitors, breeders and curious onlookers clicking photos, asking questions and quietly doing the math.
