Stop attacking Vijay & TVK, Seeman tells his cadres

Chennai: NTK chief Seeman softened his stand towards TVK president Vijay asking his party cadres to stop targeting TVK. Instead, he urged them to focus on groundwork for the assembly election. Speaking at the party meeting on Saturday, Seeman told supporters it was not their job to oppose or criticise Vijay’s party. He said TVK had no answers yet to the questions raised by NTK and hence his supporters should focus on the immediate requirement than waiting for the answers. In a remark that signalled a shift from his earlier sharp attacks on Vijay, Seeman described TVK as being run by his “younger brother”, framing the two parties as part of the same political generation even as they compete for similar voters. Seeman also cautioned cadres against lapses, saying even a small mistake by party workers could bring disrepute not only to him but also to the legacy of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran, whom he often cites as an ideological influence. Turning to organisational messaging, he called for tighter coordination through technology and asked new office-bearers to work closely with the party’s IT team.
