Four injured in banquet hall fire in northwest Delhi

New Delhi: A fire broke out at a banquet hall in northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar on Saturday, injuring four people, including one in critical condition.Police said they received a PCR call around 1 pm reporting a fire at the banquet hall. A team from the local police station rushed to the spot and found that three fire tenders were already present and the blaze had been completely doused.During a preliminary inquiry, police were informed that two injured individuals were taken to a hospital; however, no confirmation was received from any hospital at that time.Later, around 4 pm, police received another information that four people sustained burn injuries in a fire incident during a bhandara in the Azadpur area, one of whom was in critical condition. Police said the details were being verified to establish a link between the two incidents.The owner of the banquet hall is currently not cooperating and has been summoned for verification of facts, police added.
