A new direction to natural farming under our govt: CM

Jaipur: Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Saturday said that around 2.5 lakh farmers across Rajasthan are currently benefiting from natural farming initiatives aimed at improving soil health, reducing farming costs, increasing farmers’ income, and promoting sustainable, chemical-free agriculture.“In the 2025–26 budget, we announced a comprehensive and forward-looking action plan to expand natural farming across Rajasthan,” Sharma said. Under National Mission on Natural Farming, 2.25 lakh farmers are being covered with financial support shared between the Centre (60%) and the state govt (40%). “In addition, the state govt is providing 100% financial assistance to another 25,000 farmers,” he added.Emphasising the govt’s commitment to the farming community, the Chief Minister said, “Our govt is continuously taking decisions in the interest of farmers. Natural farming is being promoted so that dependence on chemicals is reduced and agriculture moves towards sustainability.”
