Mashal, the registration process has started for the discovery of talented players at the school level under the Bihar 2024-25 scheme. The registration process has been started for the selection of players in various sports.Battery test for selection of players at school level will be started from January 2. Based on the battery test, the ability of students for various sports will be tested. All the children of school in the age group of 14 to 16 years will participate in the battery test. The height and weight of the children will be checked in the battery test.
Along with this, trials will be conducted for different sports. Battery test for running includes 60 shuttle runs, vertical jump, stand broad jump, 30 meter sprint, 800 meter run. Only those players who perform well in the battery test will be selected to participate in different sports. Players selected at school level will participate in competitions at cluster and district level. Players will be selected for sports like cricket ball, football, volleyball, measuring tape etc.
For this, Rs. 6000 per school, Rs. 5500 per cluster and Rs. 10000 per block will be spent at school level. Apart from sports material, this amount will be spent for preparation of playground, tents, honorarium of physical teacher and arrangement of snacks during the trials to be held during selection.
