Expedite shifting of toll plaza from Kherki Daula to Pachgaon, says Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh

Gurgaon: Union minister and MP Rao Inderjit Singh reviewed the progress of shifting the Kherki Daula toll plaza and asked officials to accelerate the process and ensure smooth, safe and uninterrupted movement for villagers and commuters during the construction of the proposed toll plaza at Pachgaon. He emphasised that local residents, farmers and daily travellers must not face any obstruction as the shift is carried out.Singh said Pachgaon is emerging as a key growth zone, with an upcoming HSIIDC industrial area and the proposed Namo Bharat (RRTS) station. In the meeting, it was decided that all departments would jointly prepare a practical proposal within a week and present it to the police, followed by a coordination meeting on traffic arrangements.

“Pachgaon Chowk area is going to be extremely important from a development perspective in the future. HSIIDC is proposed to develop an industrial area here, which will create new employment opportunities. Additionally, a ‘Namo Bharat’ train station under the RRTS project is also proposed in this area. In such a situation, shifting Pachgaon Toll Plaza and ensuring no obstruction in the movement of local residents, farmers and commuters is the primary responsibility of the administration,” said Singh.The Union minister also reviewed in detail the progress of construction work on the Gurgaon-Pataudi-Rewari National Highway Number 352-W in the meeting. Officials informed that the route up to KMP Expressway will be fully opened for traffic by Feb 15, which will provide great relief to people in the area. The target was set to open the northern part of the road by the 1st week of March. However, construction work on railway flyovers near Pahadi village is still in progress, and instructions were given to complete it within the stipulated timeframe. The Union minister clarified that there should be no compromise on the quality of construction work, and the work should be completed in a time-bound manner.On the traffic jam occurring due to flyover construction at Bilaspur Chowk, Singh said, “Effective alternative traffic management arrangements should be made so that common people do not face unnecessary inconvenience.” He also reviewed the work on the under-construction flyover at Rathiwas bus stop and directed the concerned officials to expedite the construction work so that area residents can get relief from the jam problem as soon as possible.
