Chennai: VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan on Saturday accused BJP of threatening TVK president Vijay to join National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Speaking to reporters in Chennai, Thirumavalavan said BJP was threatening Vijay like other parties that do not come to NDA.“BJP is pressurising and threatening several parties to join their alliance. Similarly, Vijay is also being threatened and is indirectly pressurised to join their alliance,” Thirumavalavan said. He said if Vijay succumbed to pressure and joined NDA, his political future will be uncertain. There is also information that not just Vijay but his political strategists are also being threatened, Thirumavalavan said. The criticism of BJP emerged after Vijay was summoned by CBI for the Karur stampede case in which 41 people died, but the criticism strengthened after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) denied a certificate for his film, ‘Jana Nayagan’.
