Chennai: The administrative and executive councils of MNM will meet at 10.30am on Saturday at the party’s office at Alwarpet in Chennai, with party president and Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan presiding, said press release. Election Commission of India had allotted the ‘battery torch’ symbol to the party for the upcoming state elections.
MNM contested its maiden assembly polls alone in 2021 and drew a blank. It then extended support to the DMK-led alliance in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. DMK promised a Rajya Sabha seat to MNM, which Kamal Haasan later got.tnn
