Training on trends of sugar prodn

Kanpur: A one-week training programme on ‘Future Trends in Efficient and Sustainable Sugar Production’, conducted for the professionals of PT LPP Agro Nusantara, Indonesia, commenced on Friday. The training is being conducted by the former Director of the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur. The training programme is aimed at training the professionals of the Indonesian Institute on recent technological developments in the sugar industry with respect to overall processing efficiency, sugar quality improvement with lower inputs, and utilisation of by-products in an innovative manner to produce value-added products. “For attaining sustainable sugar production, all-round efforts are required,” said Prof Narendra Mohan, former director, National Sugar Institute, and Managing Director, Greentech Consultants.
