School bus rams into bike in Gurgaon, 3 minors injured

Gurgaon: Three children suffered injuries after a school bus, allegedly being driven at high speed, hit a motorcycle on Sector 16 main road in Faridabad on Wednesday morning.The incident occurred around 8.20am when the complainant, Balveer Singh, a resident of Sector 87, was returning home after buying vegetables from the Sector 16 market when he noticed the accident. On reaching the spot, he found that the motorcycle involved belonged to his nephew, Manoj.

Three minors riding the motorcycle were injured in the crash. With the help of bystanders, the injured children were rushed to Marengo Asia Hospital in Sector 16, where they are currently undergoing treatment “All three are students of a govt senior secondary school in the area,” an officer said.The school bus involved in the accident belongs to a private school operating in the locality. A police officer said a notice was issued to the bus driver, who will be summoned for questioning. “Action will be taken after verifying the facts and circumstances of the incident,” the officer said, adding that the bus and its documents are also being examined.Balveer Singh registered a complaint with the police, seeking strict legal action against the bus driver for rash and negligent driving. Police said they are checking CCTV footage from the area to establish the sequence of events and determine responsibility.Meanwhile, sources said that none of the 3 children were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. “Further investigation is underway, and appropriate sections will be added based on findings,” the officer added.
