Chandigarh: Panjab University will felicitate a group of non-teaching employees on Republic Day, in recognition of their contribution to the university’s day-to-day functioning.
The honours will include recommendation certificates, cash prizes, mementos and appreciation certificates, depending on the category.Employees from a wide range of departments have been selected, including public relations, University Institute of Fashion Technology, general branch, registration and scholarship branch, controller of examinations’ office, estate branch, hostels, the VC’s office, security services and several other administrative and support units. tnnAnother set of employees will receive appreciation certificates and mementos for their services. These include staff from the departments of chemistry, colleges branch, Panjab University Regional Centre Ludhiana, SAIF/CIL, registrar’s office, Community Education and Disability Studies, dean (student welfare) office, computer centre, zoology, computer science, University Press, Main Guest House and University Institute of Engineering and Technology.The awards are part of the university’s Republic Day celebrations aimed at acknowledging the essential role non-teaching staff play in campus operations
