Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Odisha on Feb 2 for a five-day visit, covering Balasore, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj districts for various events.According to reports, Murmu is scheduled to attend the 12th convocation of Fakir Mohan University and inaugurate a 1,000-seater auditorium in Balasore on Feb 3, after offering prayers at Biraja Temple in Jajpur. Her itinerary includes a visit to her hometown, Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj, where she will interact with students and teachers at Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Mahuldiha and unveil Bhanjbir Sunaram Soren’s statue on the campus.She will inaugurate a sports complex at Baidapur, and virtually lay foundation stones for the OUAT campus, an archery centre, an Ayush centre, the Indian Institute of Forest Management and a riverfront upgrade project at Rairangpur. President Murmu will virtually inaugurate a tribal research centre and an information technology campus at Rairangpur College under MPC University.During her stay at Similipal Tiger Reserve, Murmu will interact with tribal women and youth. The tour will conclude in Bhubaneswar, where she will attend the state govt’s ‘Black Swan Summit’ as chief guest before heading to Chhattisgarh.
