Patna: A 26-year-old man was gunned down in a targeted shooting by motorcycle-borne assailants on the Patna-Dobhi Road in Dhanarua area of Patna district on Thursday evening and later died during treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). The victim, Sonu Kumar, was engaged in land dealings. Kumar, a resident of Sheikhpura in Ramakrishna Nagar, was returning to Patna from Masaurhi on a motorcycle with his friend Alok Kumar, a resident of Parsa Bazaar, when the incident occurred. According to the Masaurhi SDPO Kanhaiya Kumar, two criminals riding a bike approached them, fired at Sonu and fled the scene.
