Tarn Taran: Amarjit Singh, a jewellery shop owner in Adda Dhand, is missing for the past 24 hours after being picked up by a biker on a road near his shop. His phone was switched off since the incident, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Following a complaint from his family, Sarai Amanat Khan police are trying to trace Amarjit Singh using phone location data and CCTV footage. Family members, however, fear that he may have been abducted, citing threats Amarjit received over the phone two days earlier, which were already reported to authorities.
According to reports, the CCTV footage showed a Amarjit riding pillion on a bike, with a car following behind. Senior Superintendent of Police Surender Lamba said that preliminary investigations indicated this was not a case of abduction. “Prima facie, it appears that Amarjit voluntarily went with someone, taking lifts along the way,” he said.
